Note that a round gasket should generally be inserted into a groove the width of which corresponds to the diameter of the gasket.
Width of groove = ø gasket
This type of gasket ensures a perfect seal. It helps to reduce soiling of the glass, maintain optimum performance of the fireplace and reduce consumption of firewood or fuel.
What's more, the gaskets prevent the risk of carbon monoxide asphyxiation and prevent smoke from escaping.
We recommend replacing the gasket every year for maximum efficiency.
Tips for installing the round braided gasket:
- Remove the gasket and clean the area
- Next, apply the gasket and cut it to size
- Finally, glue the ends and leave to dry for at least 2 hours before heating

Normalement les 2.50m de joint (coupés en machine) sont suffisants pour la porte de votre appareil, de même que la colle qui se pose en fin filet ou points.

Il s\'agit d\'un joint de qualité. Pourriez-vous le vendre au mètre pour les prochaines fois. J\'ai besoin de 204 cms pour la porte et 86 pour le joint d\'entrée d\'air de mon vieil insert.
