Schott has developed a new range of glass for wood and pellet fireplaces: NightFlame and NightView glass. These new glasses offer a truly elegant and innovative design to stoves, inserts and fireplaces.
These two black tinted glasses have several characteristics that are much appreciated and sought after in the field of vitroceramic glass: a warm fire and a strong reduction in the visibility of the combustion chamber once the fire is extinguished.
What is a vitroceramic glass for wood and pellet stoves?
This type of glass has the best characteristics in terms of resistance and heat. It has a relatively low coefficient of expansion, which allows it to withstand the most extreme temperatures (cold and hot). It is also renowned for resisting thermal shock.
Vitroceramic glass guarantees optimal safety when using your wood and pellet stoves.
Nightflame glass for a feel-good atmosphere
This semi-transparent vitroceramic glass reduces the visibility of the combustion chamber when the fire is out, which allows you to keep an elegant design of your hearth without seeing residues and dirt.
NightFlame glass has been specially designed for wood-burning stoves.
When lit, the fire provides a pleasant atmosphere with a soft and warm play of flames. Thanks to its particular composition and once the combustion is finished, the glass becomes opaque (Dead-Front effect) until leaving a black glass.
With its sober and elegant design, the Nightflame glass creates a real decorative element, adapting perfectly to any room throughout the year.

NightView glass for softer flames
In addition to the NightFlame solution for wood-burning stoves, Schott presents NightView, an innovation for pellet appliances, awarded with the German Design Award 2022.
This vitroceramic glass allows you to transform a classic pellet fireplace into a very attractive fireplace thanks to its tint offering a dark and calm flame spectacle.
When your device is on, NightView tinted glass brings a mesmerizing ambiance. Day or night, the NightNiew glass will make your fire a friendly and relaxing moment.
Once the combustion is finished, the ashes and dirt are practically invisible. Thanks to the tint of the glass which becomes dark and shiny, you keep an aesthetic pellet fireplace on the outside without seeing the residues inside.
With the sober and elegant design of the NightView glass, your pellet stove or insert will fit perfectly into your interior, like a real decorative element.
