Specially designed for everyday domestic use, this black-tinted glass ceramic from Schott lets you cook with complete peace of mind, whatever the temperature required. Its flat, lacquered top surface adds a touch of elegance to your kitchen, while its raised underside ensures optimum grip and resistance.

Glass ceramic with high thermal resistance

With its resistance to thermal shock of up to 820°C, black-tinted NEXTREMA® glass makes thermal breakage impossible and ensures exceptional durability over time, even in the most extreme conditions. The glass is also impervious to water splashes, even at very high temperatures.

Versatile glass for different applications

Very often used in industrial kitchens, it is perfectly suited to your hobs (including halogen and induction), plate warmers, planchas, etc. This glass also transmits infrared radiation at a maximum level of 90%, making it perfect for use in industrial kitchens.
It can also be used as a splashback, thanks to its attractive finish and modern look.

The difference between standard glass ceramic and black-tinted glass ceramic

NEXTREMA® black is a variant of the glass-ceramic used for stoves and fireplace inserts, and is generally preferred for applications where transparency is not required, unlike a conventional fireplace insert for example.

NEXTREMA® black, on the other hand, is designed for cooking applications with increased heat resistance (up to 950°C) compared to 760°C with standard vitroceramic glass.

Specific features

  • Flat rectangular glass
  • Thickness 4 and 5mm
  • Flat lacquered top surface
  • Raised underside
  • Thermal shock resistance up to 820°C

Please note: NEXTREMA® black-tinted glass is not compatible with the touch-sensitive keypad on some hobs, so check that yours does not have one. In addition, there is no silk-screen printing to indicate the heating zones of your cooking appliance.
